CorwinUSFlagSunlightHC1311_X_300_C_YCOSHOCTON – Gerald Robert “Bob” Corwin, 76, of Coshocton died Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Coshocton Springs Health & Rehab Center surrounded by his family.

He was born March 27, 1941 in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late Gerald Edwin and Vesper (Coakley) Corwin.

Bob was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He was a butcher and served as a Corrections Officer for 15 years with the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Dept. He had a strong Christian faith and strong love for his family and friends. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and attended the Sheppard’s Christian Assembly. He was also a member of the Warsaw Lions Club and loved all Cleveland Sports Teams.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffery (Tammie) Corwin of Lyndhurst and David (Ann) Corwin of Chardon.  His grandchildren, Daniell (Stephanie), Sarah, Andrew, Alec, Ashley, Johnathan, Cameron, Taylor, Lauren, & David. His great grandchildren, Aiden, Danielle, Freddy, Devon, & Destiny.  A brother, Rex (Joan) Corwin of Virginia & their children Andrew, Susan, Michael, & Kathy. A sister, Barbara Pike of Columbus and her son, Jimmy. A brother-in-law, Paul Rogers of Coshocton, and his children, Teresa (Clarence), Christy, & Cecil (Amy) and many more family members and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Judith A. (Cameron) Corwin, whom he married January 29, 1961, she died Dec. 12, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his father Gerald Edwin Corwin, mother, Vesper Ruth, stepfather, Ray Ruth, and his sister-in-law, Barbara J. (Cameron) Rogers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church 46621 US 36 Coshocton, OH 43812 with Pastor Starkey Lawrence officiating.  Military honors will be performed by the Coshocton County Joint Veterans Council.
