James Earle Darner

Darner PictureCOSHOCTON – James Earle Darner, 75, of Coshocton passed away at his home on Monday November 7, 2016.  He was born in Coshocton on November 19, 1940 to the late Thomas and Ruth (Sarbaugh) Darner.

In 2010 he married Orleta (Jenkins) Darner.  He was a member of the Briar Patch Beagle Club, the First Baptist Church of Dresden, where he was a faithful member and served as an usher and he served two years in the United States Army.  James retired from Hahn Oil, where he drove a gasoline truck for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Orleta; daughter Kecia (Mark) Roberts of Canton; three step children Robert (Roberta) McVay of Coshocton, Gina (Greg) Wheeler of Zanesville, and Kimberly (Greg) Sopczak of Columbus; two grandchildren; six step grandchildren; brother Tom (Michele) Darner of Coshocton; sisters Joan Larr and Janice (Lloyd) Wells both of Coshocton.

Along with his parents James is preceded in death by his sister Jackie Earmen.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday November 11, 2016 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM with a memorial service beginning at 1:00PM with Pastor Joe Offenberger officiating.  An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com
