John C. Brink

WEST LAFAYETTE – John Clifford Brink age 79 of West Lafayette, Ohio died August 6, 2018 following a short illness.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Free Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating.  Burial will be at Fairfield Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday prior to the service.

John was born August 29, 1938 and was the son of Clifford Gordan and Francis Carolyn (Bridge) Brink. On April 26, 1959 he married Mary Lorraine Wenger and she survives.

He enjoyed attending auctions and car shows. He enjoyed antique car restoration, gunsmithing, hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting and mushroom hunting.  He was a member of The United Methodist Church in Fresno. He was a volunteer at The Salvation Army Clothing Room of Coshocton, Ohio.

In addition to his wife he is survived by six children Terry (Jackie) Brink of Mineral City, Ohio, Darlene (Matt) Moore of Coshocton, Ohio, Johnny Edward Brink of West Lafayette, Ohio, Rhonda (Chad Layman) Strasburg, Ohio, Pam (Jeff) Lonsinger of Coshocton, Ohio, Glenn (Michael) Brink of Newcomerstown, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a sister Betty Jennings of Kentucky; two brothers David Brink of Fresno, Ohio and Paul Brink of Plainfield, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Raymond Brink and Thomas Brink and a great granddaughter Lola Jo Green.

Family suggests donations be made to family or to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
