West, Reta001NASHPORT- Reta Mae West, 54, died Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

She was born July 26, 1962 in Coshocton to the late Dennis J. and Julie A. (Weldon) Fortney.  She was a 1980 graduate of River View High School.  She married Harold West, Sr., who preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 2008.   She was an avid baker, and loved to make homemade candies and chocolates.  She enjoyed going to yard sales, and being a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Harold (Mary) West, Jr. of New Lexington, and Adrian West of Nashport; three grandchildren, Aiden West, Luke Williams, and Jack West; two brothers, Ronald (Carmen) Fortney, and Denny (Julie) Fortney, Jr.; five sisters, Jane Fitzpatrick, Brenda (Dale) Caley, Cindy Smith, Betsy (Jim) Mercer, and Darla (Walt) Harding; a sister-in-law, Lynn Fortney; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman, Floyd, & Charles Fortney, Sr.; and a nephew, Charles Fortney, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Lloyd Tenney officiating.  Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.  Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 6th at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
