Robert “Bob” Norman

Robert “Bob” E. Norman, 86, of West Lafayette passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at his home. He was born July 19, 1932 in Guernsey Co. to  Luther and Verena (Earnest) Norman. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He worked for Guipel Construction of Columbus, Peabody Coal, and retired from City & County Park District of Coshocton in 1996. He was a lifetime Coshocton Campers Club member and a member of Coshocton Antique Tractor Club. He restored old tractors and cars. He enjoyed gardening, was a handyman, and played with the Rod Bradford Band. He was married for over 65 years to Norma (Lawrence) Norman whom he married on June 15, 1953. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Darla (Mike) Williams of West Lafayette; his grandson, Albert (Sarah) Emler of New Philadelphia; a brother, Jerry (Shirley) Norman of West Lafayette; a sister, Darlene Harden of Coshocton; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Services were Monday, January 14, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown with Pastor Chris Cutshall officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday one hour prior to the service. Military service will be conducted by Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard.
