Robert E. “Bob” Borden

FBorden002COSHOCTON – Robert E. “Bob” Borden, 78, of CR 23 died Monday, Sept.2, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

Bob was born April 19, 1935 in Coshocton to the late Wilbert K. and Hazel E. (Maxwell) Borden.

He graduated from Roscoe High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 1958 to Feb. 1960.  Bob was stationed in Ft. Hood, TX before going to Frankfurt, Germany from Nov. 1958 until his discharge in Feb. 1960.

He was employed at Ansell Edmont of Coshocton for 42 years, from Sept. 20, 1955 to June 1, 1997. Bob enjoyed farming all his life and was a member of the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church.

Bob is survived by his wife, Reva (Kaser) Borden whom he married Nov. 22, 1962. Also surviving is a son, Ronald “Ron” Borden of Coshocton. A daughter, Raenel (J.P.) Bryan of Coshocton. Grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylie, & Madison Bryan and Jeremy Borden. A brother, Richard (Louise) Borden of West Lafayette and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a son, Rick L. Borden on Feb. 11, 2005; his parents, a sister, Janice Ann Borden Asire and brother-in-law, Labon Asire;  maternal grandparents, Harry & Rosa Maxwell, and paternal grandparents, Edgar & Iva Myrtle Borden; two nieces and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warasw with Rev. Dail Parrish officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery at Warsaw with graveside military services conducted by the Coshocton County Joint Veterans Council. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
