VA Mobile Medical Unit to be in Coshocton County

COSHOCTON – The Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center announces that the Columbus VA Mobile Medical Unit is scheduled to visit eastern Coshocton County to offer enrollment exams to eligible veterans.

The Mobile Medical Unit will be situated in the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 28. The store is located at 23605 Airport Road.

Also expected is the Stark County Mobile Vet Center to assist with individual and group counseling for veterans and their families. Family counseling for military-related issues, bereavement counseling for families who experience an active duty death, military sexual trauma counseling and referral, outreach and education including PDHRA, community events, etc., substance abuse assessment and referral, employment assessment and referral, VBA benefits explanation and referral, screening and referral for medical issues including TBI, depression, etc.

This visit is being held in conjunction with the Coshocton County Veterans Service Office and is in support of the VA’s Rural Health Initiative.

Veterans are reminded to bring their DD-214/DD-215 as well as income and medical expense information for the 2014 calendar year.
