2 accidents reported on March 17

On March 17, at approximately 5:12 p.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call advising of a one-vehicle accident with injuries off of SR 83 in a field just west of Otsego Avenue just in city limits.

Upon arrival of deputies it was determined that a Paula Daniels, 60, of Coshocton was driving a Suzuki Quad Runner four-wheeler southbound on a path in the field. Daniels hit a root and then flipped the four-wheeler. Both Daniels and her passenger Charles Carr, 57, of Coshocton were ejected off the four-wheeler. Carr was not injured. Daniels was injured and transported by Coshocton EMS to Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

Assisting the sheriff’s office at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, Three River’s Fire District, City Fire Department and Princes Wrecker Service.

Also on March 17, 2022 at approximately 5:58 p.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call advising of a two-vehicle accident with possible injuries on SR 83 just south of SR 16 in Tuscarawas TWP.

Upon arrival of deputies it was determined that Jeffrey Shrimplin, 62, of Conesville was driving his 2009 Honda southbound on SR 83 and had stopped for an ambulance with its lights on going northbound on SR 83. Aden Keim, 54, of Coshocton was driving his 2006 Ford and was traveling southbound on SR 83 behind the Shrimplin vehicle. Keim did not get stopped in time and rear ended the Shrimplin vehicle. A Haley Shrimplin, 23, was a passenger in the Shrimplin vehicle. No one was injured in the accident.

Assisting the sheriff’s office at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, Three Rivers Fire District and Jackson TWP fire.
