Bicycle safety event set at fairgrounds
Coshocton Public Health District and the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office will present a bicycle safety event on Tuesday, June 3 at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will feature a bicycle safety lesson and a free hot dug lunch provided by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office. The health district will pass out free bicycle helmets while supplies last (youth sizes only). And, the prosecutor’s office will be there to offer child ID-kits.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds, located at 707 Kenilworth Ave. Come in the main gate entrance, and park alongside the fence that runs down South Seventh Street, beside the train car. You will then get your bicycles out of the car and walk over to the event in the lot behind the grand stands.
It is the mission at Coshocton Public Health to ensure equitable access to care, prevent diseases, promote healthy behaviors and protect the well-being and health environment for all community members.
Thanks to generous donations from the sheriff’s office and Coshocton Elks #376, new bicycles have been purchased as the door prize for attending the event. Everyone will have the opportunity to participate in the drawing. The Coshocton Fire Department provided the grills and will prepare the hot dog lunch.
