2 juveniles transported after accident
On May 22, at approximately 7:42 a.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an injury accident in the 100 block of South Kirk Street in West Lafayette, involving two juveniles on a bike and a vehicle.
Upon arrival of West Lafayette Police Officers, it was determined that a juvenile, operating an electric bicycle with another juvenile passenger on the back, was traveling east in an alley between West Main Street and West Russell Avene. When approaching the intersection of the alley and South Kirk Street, the operator of the electric bicycle failed to stop at the intersection and struck a 2015 White GMC pickup truck driven by Haley Wick of West Lafayette who was traveling North on South Kirk Street. Both juveniles were treated at the scene and transported by CCEMS to Genesis Hospital. Both juveniles were reported in stable condition. Wick reported no injuries.
Assisting West Lafayette Police Department at the scene was the West Lafayette Street Department, West Lafayette Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS, and the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Department.
