Alletta E. Leigh

Alletta E. Leigh, 85, of Coshocton passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2024 at Danbury Assisted Living in Millersburg, OH.  She was born in Newcomerstown, OH on August 19, 1939 to the late Homer and Margaret (Randles) Keiffer.

Alletta was a member of Coshocton Central Christian Church, AMVETS Post 036, Coshocton Moose Lodge, and VFW Post 1330. She worked as a glove and garment designer for Edmonts for 33 years before retiring in 2001.

Alletta is survived by her children Jim (Karen) Priest, Tim Priest, and daughter-in-law Sara Priest; step children Todd (Tammy) Leigh and Teres (Jamie) Smith  grandchildren J.T. (Baylee Vanek) Smith, Nicloe Hardesty, Chase Hayes, Samantha (Kyle) Daugherty, Kyle (Kayla) Priest, Matthew (Lori) Priest, Aaron (Amanda) Priest, and Andrew (Hayley) Priest; great grandchildren Jayce and Treytyn Corder and Mackenzie and Scottie Daugherty and Caleb, Damian, Jayden, Chayton, Darren, Rylee, Brent, Kenzie, and Kharter Priest; siblings Dan Keiffer, Viola Davis, and Loretta Parks; and two great great grandchildren.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Gene” Leigh, who passed on March 5, 2025; sons Mike, Tom and Bob Priest; and sister-in-law Lore Leigh.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, OH 43812 on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 10:00am – 11:00am with funeral services beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Chris Cutshall officiating. Burial will follow at Canal Lewisville Cemetery.
