GhostBox Productions holding theatre camp for kids

| July 11, 2025

It has taken four years, but GhostBox Productions, a troupe-based theatre company, has started.

The eight member group met through different performance-based activities around Coshocton. The group is comprised of Graham Beaumont, Heath Chaney, Samantha Corbett, Jenna Jordan, Kyle McMullen, Mary McMullen, Percy Wright- Delgado and Kayla Wyers.

For the last two years, the group has been working with Clary Gardens to present theatre education for children and musical showcases. The group officially became GhostBox Productions in June. Mary McMullen said, “Our group is committed o providing the community with rich, thoughtful performance experiences and quality theatre education for children and adults.”

The Growing Stage is a theatre camp for kids, ages 5–15.

On July 14, there will be a playwriting workshop from 1-3 p.m. The children will explore how plays are created. They will write short scenes that may be chosen for the final play of camp week.

Other workshops include acting workshop on July 17, backstage and design on July 21 and theatre basics on July 24. All workshops are from 1-3 p.m. at Clary Gardens and cost $10 per session.

Theatre Camp week is July 28 – Aug. 1 from 1-3:30 p.m. each day. Campers will work together to create and produce a short play to perform for family and friends at the end of the week. Camp week is $10 per day or $40 for the week. All payments can be made at or sent to Clary Gardens.

GhostBox Productions will also be presenting “Echoes of Summer: A Musical Showcase” on Thursday, July 31 and Friday, Aug. 1 at 7 p.m.  at the Clary Gardens Pavilion. This showcase will feature Beaumont, Chaney, Corbett and Wyers.

“This lovely compilation of musical theatre will be the perfect way to spend a warm, summer evening in the gardens. Admittance is pay what you will and all proceeds benefit future programming for GhostBox Productions,” said McMullen. “We are thrilled with our continued partnership with Clary Gardens and are grateful to the area businesses and community who have supported our work.”
