Grace UMC continues production of special charms

| April 30, 2025

Grace United Methodist Church is once again working on a special fundraiser featuring beautiful, handmade stained-glass charms.

Project originator, Linnet Lowe, began the heartfelt fundraiser to benefit the creation of new stained-glass windows for her church, which was devastated by fire in May 2022. In a beautiful act of restoration and remembrance, the fundraising committee, consisting of members from the congregation, is lovingly crafting unique charms from the broken pieces of stained-glass salvaged from the original church building. Each handmade charm is a unique work of art and serves as a tangible piece of the church’s history and a symbol of hope for its future, with all proceeds going directly toward the installation of the new windows.

These colorful charms are available for a donation of $10 each. You can find them for sale at the Roscoe Village General Store, or you’re welcome to stop by the church’s temporary office at 142 N. Fourth St. in Coshocton to pick one up in person. Every donation will directly support the funding of the new stained-glass windows, helping to preserve and beautify their place of worship for generations to come.

“Our committee has poured heart and creativity into making each charm,” Lowe said. “This project not only raises necessary funds but also allows us to share a piece of Grace Church’s spirit with the wider community.”

Supplies are limited, so people are encouraged to pick up their charm soon. They make wonderful gifts and keepsakes.
