Irene Johnston

Irene Johnston, 98, of Coshocton passed away at 6:50 P.M., Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Autumn Extended Care Facility in Coshocton.

Born October 16, 1914 in Roscoe, she was the daughter of the late James Howard and Zora (Shearn) Wilson.

Before retiring in 1952, Irene was a compiler at the Beach Calendar and Leather Company in Coshocton.

Irene loved her family and enjoyed working puzzle books and spending time watching television.

She was first married to Charles Russell Reiss who is deceased. In 1952 Irene married Ward Johnston who preceded her in death in 1968.

Irene will be deeply missed by her loving family members son Charles J.  Reiss; grandson Michael (Marsha) Reiss; great-grandson Byron Brenneman; several step-great and step-great-great-grandchildren; two brothers Donald E. Wilson, Marion (Marge) Wilson all of Coshocton; a sister Carol Roberts of Columbus; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Irene was preceded in death by a brother Floyd Wilson, a sister Mary Jane Horn and a special friend Carl Aufderheide.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Rev. Donald Dolick officiating.  Interment will follow atSouth LawnCemetery.

To honor Irene’s request, there are no calling hours.
