James Morrison PictureCOSHOCTON – James Vincent Morrison, 77, of New Concord, passed away at Signature Health Care in Coshocton on Thursday November 24, 2016. with his loving family by his side.  Jim was born in Fayette County, PA on April 6, 1939 to the late Vincent “Ben” and Pearl (Jackson) Morrison.  He served in the United States Army Reserve and retired from the Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant after 30 ½ years of service.  Jim loved life; he loved to “Tinker” and had a passion for John Deere Tractors.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.  Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years Ethel M. (Burnworth) Morrison whom he married July 27, 1959; two sons Jimmy (Cindy) Morrison of Bedford, KY and Richard Morrison of Wellington, OH; two daughters Sally (Tom) Morrow of Huron, OH and Susan (Phil Mann) Grassel of New Concord; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Elmer “Bud” Morrison; three sisters Elma Jean Mason, Freda Leonard and Doris Leonard.  Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday November 28, 2016 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM and two hours prior to the service on Tuesday.  Funeral services for Jim will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bill Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in Franklin Township Cemetery where Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will perform military honors.  An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
