Lavonne Parkhill

Lavonne Norman Parkhill, 95, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Parkside Village Assisted Living.

She was born June 18, 1925 in Keene to the late John Proctor and Francis Elizabeth (Karr) Norman. She married her husband of 65 years Dale R. Parkhill, who died July 20, 2009. She was a homemaker, a wonderful mother of three and an additional dozen or so neighborhood boys.

Lavonne was a longtime volunteer at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Heart of Gold at the former Coshocton County Memorial Hospital, and also at Canal Days events. She was a member of a card club for 65 years, and nearly 50 years in a recipe club that highlighted her outstanding cooking abilities.

She is survived by two sons, Drew Parkhill of Virginia Beach, VA, and Don (Sheila) Parkhill of Westerville; her grandchildren, Beth Anne (Michael) Frabotta of Portland, ME, Michael Warner of Alamosa, CO, David Parkhill of Columbus, and Anna Parkhill of Columbus; three great-grandchildren, Holly Glauber of Gray, ME, and Emily & Amelia Frabotta of Portland, ME; as well and numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie McGonigle; two sisters, Karma (Ken) Schlarb, and Mary (Jack) Pfeil; a brother, Don Norman; and a great-granddaughter, Natalie Frabotta.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Philip Hunt officiating. Private burial will follow in Keene Cemetery. Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Capacity is limited and all guests must wear a face covering. Her family would like to extend their heart-felt appreciation to all those at Windsorwood in Coshocton and Parkside Village in Westerville for the loving care they gave to Lavonne for the last five years.
