| July 24, 2025

Michael Terry “Mike” Stiteler, age 79, of Coshocton, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Born on September 6, 1945, in Coshocton, he was the son of the late James and Dolores (Randles) Stiteler.

Mike was a proud graduate of Coshocton High School, where he was a four-year letterman punter. He spent his career working in local factories. On June 17, 1973, he married the love of his life, Barbara (Gobel) Stiteler, who survives him.

A dedicated member of the community, Mike was involved in several local organizations, including the Moose Lodge, Eagles Club, and the Sportsman’s Club, where he served as a trustee for over 30 years and founded the youth group. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for hunting and fishing. He was also a devoted fan of the Cleveland Browns and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Mike was more than a man of many titles— he was the heart of his family and a pillar in his community. As a devoted husband, cherished daddy, beloved son and brother, loyal friend, and the ever-adored Pops and Pappi, Mike’s presence brought warmth, laughter, and comfort to everyone around him.

He was known for his signature greeting “Hey boy,” a simple phrase that carried his unmistakable voice, humor, and love. It’s something that brought smiles to faces, young and old, and it will echo in the hearts of those who knew him best.

His legacy isn’t just in the stories we tell but in the lives he shaped, with his kindness, strength, and unwavering love; that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, Mike is survived by his daughters, Kim (Chad) Tumblin of Coshocton and Angela (Jimmy) Dubose of Alabama; grandchildren, Breanna (Blaque) Lollar, Blake (Hannah) Stiteler, Zachary Williamson, Kelsey Williamson, Spencer Tumblin; 13 great-grandchildren; Bama Boys; and his lifelong best friend Billy Dickerson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Edward “Mike” Stiteler; and siblings James, Charles, Reese, William, Russell, Josephine Stiteler, Joyce Clough, and Betty Arden.

Cremation will take place by Miller Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Interim Hospice and or the Wounded Warrior Project.
