Nealey charged after traffic stop

On Dec. 6 at approximately 11:35 p.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division and Sheriff’s Office K-9 Division conducted a traffic stop in the 22000 block of SR 751 in Lafayette Township.

The sheriff’s office K-9 alerted to the vehicle and a search was conducted. As a result of the vehicle search, a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, drug trafficking materials and a firearm was located.

On Dec. 7, 43-year-old Benjamin J. Nealey of Coshocton was formally charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the second degree. This was the result after an ongoing investigation by Coshocton County Sheriff’s Detectives and the Coshocton County Prosecutors Office.
