On the mark
COSHOCTON Sean Askren, hometown Middletown, Ohio, was the first balloon pilot to toss his beanbag marker towards the target during the Saturday morning flight. Attempting to come as close to the “T” target at the end of the runway at Richard Downing Airport, Askren came the closest before the target “closed” at 9 a.m. The balloon “Bohica” was sponsored by State Farm Insurance – Doug Marmie. Marmie rode along on the challenging Saturday morning flight. Most of the twenty balloons participating took part in the flight. The next scheduled launch of the balloons will be from the fairgrounds at approximately 6 p.m. on Saturday evening, June 8. (Beacon photo by Mark Fortune)
