Pomerene Center partnering with animal shelter

| September 11, 2023

The Pomerene Center for the Arts (PomArts) is partnering with the Coshocton County Animal Shelter for The-Kids-are-back-in-school-summer-has-not-ended-movie-night or the BITE-SIZED title: For the Dogs Movie Night on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 8:30 p.m. in the artPARK, Main Street in Coshocton.

A large portion of the monthly expenditures for The Coshocton County Animal Shelter goes to veterinary care. The shelter spends $3,000 a month on vet bills alone. The goal is to raise at least a third of this, so $1,000 is the goal for the Sept. 16 event.

The Pomerene Center kicked off its fundraising efforts prior to the Sept.  16th event by hosting Evan Abood on Sept. 10 with Yappy Hour.

The beer garden will become the “Yappy Hour” tent. There you can get a pour of Wooly Pig Farm Brewery’s Helles. And, of course, what movie would be complete without popcorn?

So, grab a drink, some popcorn and settle in to watch the original “Frankenweenie,” a 30 mins short by Tim Burton and the full-length feature “Isle of Dogs” by Wes Anderson projected on the artPARK on wall.

If you are interested in donating to the shelter, visit www.pomerenearts.org/make-a-donation or the other payment options available at the Sept. 16 event.
