Public Health District hosts Coffee with A Doc

Coshocton Public Health District will host the next Coffee with A Doc, event on Thursday, June 12, featuring Sheila Mayse, LSW.

Mayse returns for part two of “Mental Health Awareness,” focusing on the topic “Self-Care: Beyond the Bubble Bath.” The event is scheduled for Thursday, June 12 at 1 p.m. The event will take place at Rust Décor, located at 341 Main St.  in Coshocton. Parking is available in front of the store, and down along Main Street. A free black coffee drip is provided by Rust Décor, and snacks will be provided by the health district.

Mayse has a Master of Social Work Degree from West Virginia University, and is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervision Endorsement. She has more than 30 years of experience providing social work services to a variety of populations. As the owner of MSW Solutions, she provides outpatient mental health services to adults, teens, and children through individual, couples, family, and group therapy. She has a specialization in treating symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) through Cognitive Processing Therapy. Additionally, Mayse conducts psychological evaluations, parenting assessments, mediation, and family enrichment services including supervised parenting time, and reunification services. She has also served as a Guardian Ad Litem for the Coshocton County Juvenile Court for more than 12 years.

Coshocton Public Health District’s mission is to ensure equitable access to care, prevent diseases, promote healthy behaviors and protect the well-being and health environment for all community members. By offering this event each month, staff is gaining insight to what is truly needed by the adult population in Coshocton County.
