Richard Allen Stubbs Sr.

Richard Allen Stubbs Sr., 72, of Coshocton, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at the Morrison House, Zanesville, Ohio after an extended illness.

Born Oct. 21, 1948 in Coshocton, he was the son of the late Robert and Yealldain (Mullins) Stubbs.

Richard served honorably in the United States Army in Vietnam.

He is survived by five children, Amy Stubbs (Jason Householder) of Coshocton, Jason (Tamika) Stubbs of Conesville, Haley (JR) Stevens of West Lafayette, Richard Stubbs Jr. (Lyndsey Mullins) of Tennessee, Amelia Stubbs (Marcellus Miller) of Tennessee; nine stepchildren; 11 grandchildren; 18 stepgrandchildren; two sisters Brenda (Lester) Guilliams of Coshocton and Kara (Roger) Poorman of Nellie; and companion Sabrina Wilson of Coshocton.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife Marlene Stubbs; three brothers; two sisters; and one stepgrandson.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Rev. Ralph Johnson officiating. Calling hours will be held two hours prior to the service, Friday at the Free Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery. The Coshocton County Veterans Council will be performing military honors.
