Still time to register for COTC’s manufacturing and technology camp
COSHOCTON – There’s still time for rising sixth through ninth grade students from Coshocton County to register for Central Ohio Technical College’s (COTC) Manufacturing and Technology Camp, which will be held June 24-28, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at the COTC Coshocton campus, 200 N. Whitewoman St. Cost is $20 per student. Need-based scholarships are available. Camp participants will explore today’s high-tech world of engineering, design and manufacturing. During this interactive camp, students will learn about real-world engineering problems and help create solutions. The week will include tours of local facilities that engineer and manufacture everyday products. The camp will conclude with a showcase where students will share innovations and demonstrate new technological and leadership skills which are needed for high-tech careers in manufacturing.
Manufacturing and Technology Camp is presented in collaboration with COTC, COTC’s Workforce Development Innovation Center, the Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce, the Coshocton County Port Authority, Ohio Means Jobs, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Coshocton County and U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown.
