There is a lot more to the Sunflower Festival than flowers
This year is the Eighth annual Coshocton Sunflower Festival. The festival is held at the Coshocton KOA Holiday on County Road 10. There will be more than 50 varieties of sunflowers over the four-acre field.
New this year is family day on Saturday, Aug. 2. Gem mining, painting and tie dyeing all cost extra. You will also experience a bubbly foam party and barrel train rides. All of the varieties of sunflowers may not be blooming, yet. Family day hours are noon to 6 p.m.
Early u-pick days are Sunday through Tuesday, Aug. 3-5 with last u-pick days on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 14-15. Hours for the u-pick days are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Part of what makes the Coshocton Sunflower Festival unique is the wooded area that is right beside the sunflower field where you can cool off after exploring the sunflowers. The festival is also well-staffed to ensure every guest feels welcome and has the best experience possible. Staff will help you from your arrival to helping you bag your sunflowers to take them home. KOA staff want to be sure everyone enjoys their time at the festival.
Everyone is reminded that sunflowers are a crop and are subject to weather and growing conditions. The festival cannot guarantee that sunflowers will be blooming by a certain date so plan to be flexible with your visit date. Please remember that there will be bees in the field and, if you are allergic, you need to be prepared in case of a sting.
