| July 23, 2025

Coshocton County WIC is hosting its annual community shower in the Coshocton County Community Room at 637 Chestnut Street on Thursday, Aug. 7 from 1-3 p.m.

Coshocton County WIC proudly presents this year’s theme as Wild Fun to feature more than 15 different community partners. Highlights include: family friendly activities, door prizes, Real McCoy BBQ, Sno Shack, Baby Shark, and more. This is a free event, open to the public for pregnant women, dads, families, infants, and children up to age 5.

Be sure to purchase from the food trucks Real McCoy BBQ and Sno Shack from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Parking is available in front of the Coshocton Public Health District, and across the street behind the old EMS building and beside the First Baptist Church.

Kristin Lawrence, WIC Breastfeeding Peer said, “I enjoy educating and supporting local breastfeeding moms. One of my goals is to make Coshocton County more breastfeeding friendly. No matter how you feed your baby, being a parent is hard work. I am so excited to celebrate parenthood with the public and community partners by hosting this awesome event. I cannot wait to see you all there.”

The Women, Infants, and Children program (WIC) provides nutrition education, healthy foods, breastfeeding support and healthcare referrals for income eligible pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, non-breastfeeding and bereaved mothers up to six months post-partum, and infants/children up to age 5.

Coshocton Regional Medical Center’s sponsorship helps make this event possible.
