Mercantile on Main has quilting class

Quilts051Mercantile on Main recently had a premier class teaching techniques on the “Let’s Be Civil” quilt class. This quilt and Mercantile on Main was featured in the nationally-recognized quilting magazine, “Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler”. The magazine showcased our locally-owned quilt shop and the owner, Denise Guthrie, who designed the quilt. The premier class learned how to make two blocks, a Star and an Irish Chain block using light, medium and dark civil war fabric. Pictured is Elaine Wilden, Donna Bordenkirker, Sue Williams, Jacque Wagner, Vickie Davis, Kirsten McPeck, Alana Lapp along with Denise Guthrie. Not pictured, Analea Smith.
