16-year-old overturns vehicle in Newcastle Township

On July 8, 2021 at 8:03 p.m. the sheriff’s office received a 911 call in regards to a possible injury accident on US 36 at TR 53 in Newcastle Township.

Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that a 16-year-old juvenile was traveling eastbound on US 36 when he lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway. The juvenile then over corrected causing the vehicle to overturn.

The juvenile was treated and released by EMS on scene. Another Juvenile passenger was also treated and released by EMS on scene. The driver was cited for failure to control.

Assisting at the scene was the Walhonding Valley Fire District, Coshocton County EMS and Princes Wrecker Service.
