COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Fairgrounds is once again going to be alive with the excitement and action of harness racing that will be held on three days this Saturday, Sept. 28, Sunday, Sept. 29, and Monday, Sept. 30, all with a first race post time of 1 p.m. Coshocton County has a long and storied history with harness racing and could once boast to having the most harness horses in Ohio. And a lot of Home Talent Colt Stakes pacing and trotting two and three-year-old equine champions have strutted their stuff over the Coshocton County Fairgrounds.

Speed Superintendent Steve Croft and his team has honed the racing surface in hopes of producing some exciting and fast miles for the fans. On Saturday a Free For All Trot will be held and the FFA pace goes Monday. There is even a $100 bonus to the driver of the horse who can break either track record of 1:58.2 on the trot or the all-time record of 1:56 pacing.

On all three days be sure to stop by the Racing With The Stars Tent to enter in several games being offered by the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association: The Racing With The Stars fan contest puts a lucky contestant into the Coshocton Winners Circle for a free photo as well as receiving prizes that includes a $25 grocery/gas gift certificate. You’ll also be eligible to get a “Text Back” randomly during the races to automatically win a RWTS T-shirt! Folks can play the popular Text Trivia game from the comfort of your cellphones throughout the day. Just listen for the questions to be announced and then text us the answer that are easily found in your program to win prizes.
