Carl E. Easter

Carl Edward Easter, 69, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning, June 1, 2013, at his home in Coshocton.

Born February 16, 1944 in Wooster, he was the son of the late Cecil Byron and Anna Louise (Carpenter) Easter.

A 1963 graduate of West Lafayette High School, Carl will be remembered for his different craft projects and his love of flowers and the Coshocton Redskins.   His last employment before becoming disabled in 1990 was in the Shipping Department of the former Steel Ceilings.

For many years Carl was associated with the Salvation Army and was a member of the Burt Ave. Wesleyan Church where he had served on the church board and various committees.  He was an active and passionate leader of the Best Years Fellowship Group.

On August 1, 1964 Carl married his beloved wife Janet Elaine Fry who survives with two daughters Sherry (Todd) Johnson and Lisa (Jim) Bryant all of Coshocton; six grandchildren Neil Easter, Charley Bryant, Keirstin, Kallie, Kaden, Kyler Johnson; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by three brothers Luke, Charles, and James Easter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Pastor Rod Uhlig and Major Joe Pritchard officiating.  Interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 4, 2013, and until time of services on Wednesday at the Free Funeral Home.

Memoriums may be made to the Burt Ave. Wesleyan Church, 230 Burt Ave., Coshocton, OH 43812.  Envelopes are available at the  funeral home.
