COSHOCTON – Coshocton in Bloom was recognized by America in Bloom for its eye popping containers during the first evening at America in Bloom’s international symposium in St. Charles, IL. Coshocton was among the top three in the best container category across all population categories in the nation.

Coshocton in Bloom board members Tim France, Jandi Adams, Dorothy Skowrunski and Debra Wallace attended the America in Bloom international symposium Oct. 3-5. They were present as Coshocton was recognized out of 44 communities participating across the nation.

The group also received a plaque from America in Bloom in recognition of the community’s floral displays in the 10,000-12,000 population category.

America in Bloom envisions communities as welcoming and vibrant places to live, work, and play – benefiting from colorful plants and trees, enjoying clean environments, celebrating heritage, and planting pride through volunteerism. Its mission is to promote nationwide beautification through education and community involvement by encouraging the use of flowers, plants, trees, and other environmental and lifestyle enhancements.

Coshocton in Bloom is a non-profit organization created in 2009 to promote pride in Coshocton through plants, trees, heritage and environmental efforts.
