Daniel Leigh Lamp

Daniel Leigh Lamp, 88, of Warsaw passed away Friday, July 1, 2022, at Signature Healthcare, with his family by his side.

He was born on July 27, 1933, in Beatrice, West Virginia to the late Everette Daniel and Avis Leigh (Haught) Lamp. He was a graduate of Coshocton High School. He entered the service and served for the United States Air Force during the Korean War, until he was honorably discharged. On Aug. 28, 1952, he married the love of his life, Rachel Emily (Coverdale) Lamp in Massillon, Ohio. He owned and operated Service Unlimited Heating and Cooling, until his retirement. Daniel was an active member of the Church of Christ in Coshocton. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and travel and visit his family.

Along with his wife, Daniel is survived by his children, Karen Lowery, Wayne (Debra) lamp, Barbara (Gene) Hindel, Teresa (Joe) Gashel and Norman (Donna) Coverdale, who was like a son; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob and Larry Lamp; as well as several nieces and nephews and his church family.

Preceding Daniel in death are his brothers, Denver, Duane, Jack, Roger and baby William Lamp; sisters, Dorothy Byers, Helen Rogers, Loure Barnes and Judy Carpenter; son-in-law, Kevin Lowery; and his grandson, Luke Longeretta.

Calling hours will be at The Church of Christ on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service will begin on Friday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Lloyd Tenney officiating. Burial will follow at the Coshocton County Memory Gardens with the Coshocton County Veteran Honor guard performing military honors.
