Doris (Federspiel) Garber

Doris Leanna (Federspiel) Garber, 92, died on Friday May 20, 2022 at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia.

Doris was born in Fort Wayne, IN on May 15, 1930 to the late Edward F. and Olive Lee Federspiel. She was a graduate of Leo High School and was employed by The Brotherhood Mutual Life Insurance Company in Fort Wayne for many years. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Coshocton.

On July 26, 1959, she married Edward F. Garber, who preceded her in death on May 10, 2011. Also predeceased are her brothers; Dick, Earl, and Bert Federspiel, sisters; Opal Buchanan, Ruth Brendel, Marcella Young, and Edythe Eager, and her daughter-in-law, Maurita Garber.

Surviving is a son, Curtis A. Garber of Fresno, a daughter, Catherine (Paul) Snyder of Baltic, three granddaughters, Courtney (Matt) Hicks, Nicole (Luke) Hilton, and Mallory (Danny) Richards, four great grandchildren; Kolton and Reece Hicks and Chesley and Conway Hilton, a sister, Ellen Dean of Rockford, IL, and a sister-in-law, Maxine Federspiel of Ft. Wayne, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 23 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1500 Pleasant Valley Drive in Coshocton, with Pastor Bryan Kittner officiating.  Burial will be in the Mount Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Chili.  Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the church.  The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling the arrangements.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
