WALHONDING – Dorothy Evelyn “Dot” (Stirrup) Woodson, 78, of US 36, died Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Ohio State University – Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus.

She was born Nov. 5, 1936 in Key West, FL to the late John Wilmond and Mardy Evelyn (Albury) Stirrup.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she enjoyed working with the youth.  She also loved to sew, cook, and bake for family and friends.

“Dot” is survived by her husband, James Edward Woodson, whom she married Jan. 6, 1956 in Key West, FL.  She is also survived by a daughter, Deborah Elizabeth Woodson Ferguson (Terry Ward) of Walhonding.  Son-in-law, Paul Brown of Warsaw.  Two granddaughters, Meggan Norman and Melissa Carroll of Laurelville.  Five great grandchildren.  A brother, John William (Edwina) Stirrup of The Villages, FL.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth “Jennie” (Woodson) Brown on Dec. 2, 2013.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church 46621 US 36 Coshocton, OH with Pastor Dwayne Gibson officiating.  Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery at  Warsaw.   Visitation will be Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw.   www.fischerfuneralhome.com
