Loomis004Coshocton – Edmund Albert Loomis, 86, of Tiverton Center, and formerly of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2013 with his daughter by his side at Autumn Health Care of Coshocton.

He was born in Akron on May 14, 1927. He was a graduate of Buchtel High School. He retired after 33 years of service with the Ohio Bell telephone company, where he met his bride of 55 years, Vivian.

Ed was a WWII veteran in the U.S. Navy, and a member of the Taylor memorial Library Board, the Masonic Lodge #187 in Cuyahoga Falls, and the Ohio Bell Pioneers. He and Vivian loved to travel, and visited 48 of the 50 states and also Puerto Rico.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian, in 2005, parents; Walter and Blanche Loomis, and brother and sister-in-law; Bill and Jean Campbell.

Surviving is a daughter, Lynn Loomis of Nellie, son, James (Judith) of New Franklin, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

Per his wishes, there will be no services, and a cremation has taken place. The family would like to give a special thank you for the love and caring Dad received by the staff of Autumn Health from Kelly, Misty, Tamara, Amy, Leah, Betty, Seth, Monica, and Sarah.
