Edward Forney Warden

Edward Forney Warden, 93, of Coshocton passed away at Signature Healthcare of Coshocton, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 26, 2021.

Ed was born in Kimbolton, on May 16, 1928 to the late Robert “Bundy” J. and Florence A. (Forney) Warden.

He worked at Heller Bros, General Electric, Coshocton Grain Company and Woolen Mill. Ed and his wife Marna also owned and operated Warden’s Food Market in West Lafayette. Ed retired early, but still enjoyed working as a meat cutter, which he loved.

Ed is survived by his devoted wife of 73 years, Marna D. (Gephart) Warden whom he married Dec. 13, 1947; two children, Linda (Mike) Holder of Winter Haven, FL and Jim (Mona) Warden of Warsaw; one sister, Jeannie (Larry) Gable of Cambridge; grandchildren, Michelle (Mike) Force, Nikki (Matt) Smith, Craig (Brandi) Holder, Ryan (Christy) Warden, Jamie (Becky) Warden and Julie (Randy) Leist; one step granddaughter, Kim (Jeff) Garrard; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Don Warden and great-granddaughter, Ashley Hamilton.

Private family funeral services will be held at The Miller Funeral Home, Coshocton with burial to follow in Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette.
