Elderess Marcia Joan Coffman

Elderess Marcia Joan Coffman, 58, of Coshocton, departed this life on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021.

Born May 7, 1963, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Marvin “Buddy” Fox and Elderess Iris Fox. She was married to her husband, Brother James “Jim” Coffman, for 40 years.

Elderess Marcia was a member and Junior Minister of The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob and most recently worshipped in the Bethlehem Township, OH congregation. She devoted her life to the service of others as a nurse for many years. This calling led her to move to Ohio to work at a facility operated by her church, Jacob’s Dwelling Nursing Home. She was known to treat her patients with compassion and gentle care.

Left to cherish her memory, her husband, Brother James Coffman; her son, James “Jimmy” Coffman; her daughter, Megan Edgell and spouse, Nic Edgell; her granddaughters, Abigail and Grace Coffman; her grandson, Gavin Edgell; her sister, Mother Melissa Mundey and spouse, Presiding Elder David Mundey; her brother, Elder Daniel Fox and spouse, Elderess Cindy Fox; her brother, David Fox, as well as many other family members, church family, and friends.

A service for the family will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at Grove Funeral Home in Hancock, MD and will be officiated by Adv. Pr. Eld. Mark Faith. Burial will follow at The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob Cemetery.
