Elizabeth Jane Cognion

Elizabeth Jane Cognion, 83, of Coshocton passed away Tuesday August 24, 2021 at the Morrison Hospice House in Zanesville.  She was born in Coshocton on October 15, 1937 to the late Forrest and Thelma (Mobley) Lawrence.

She graduated from Coshocton High School and was a homemaker throughout her life.  Jane also loved to play bingo, embroidery, crocheting, puzzles and doing yard work at her home.

Jane is survived by her children Debbie Nichols of Myrtle Beach, SC., Julie (Steve) Courtright of Coshocton, Mike (Julia) Cognion of Gloucester, VA., Lisa (Jeff) Gress of Coshocton, Kelly Blair of Coshocton and Tim (Vicki) Cognion of Nashport; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one brother Richard (Nancy) Lawrence of Coshocton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James Cognion, who passed away March 29, 2021; her daughter Lori Wiggins; great-granddaughter Leanne Hittle; siblings Betty Dunfee, Lois Lonsinger and John Lawrence.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Sunday August 29, 2021 from 1:00 Pm to 3:00 PM and one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday.  Funeral services for Jane will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jim Lee officiating.  Burial will follow at the Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
