Family Paint Night at the museum

| February 7, 2017

puppyCOSHOCTON – When was the last time you sat side by side with your son or daughter to learn while using your imagination? The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is offering Family Paint Night on Feb. 26 from 4:30 – 6 p.m. This class is designed for you and your child to have a night out together while experiencing a different kind of fun, the creative kind. Each person will paint his or her own 16” x 20” stretched canvas using acrylic paints. In less than two hours, you and your child will take home your own masterpieces.

If you’re the type of parent (or aunt, uncle, grandparent…) who is looking for a way to enjoy time with the young ones you love, this is for you.  Additionally, it may give your child the opportunity to see you work at something that doesn’t come that easily.

The class is for children ages six and older. For younger children or anyone who needs it, a dog template will be available. Cost is $16 for one adult and one child; $20 for one adult and two children. Friends Family Memberships receive $3 off. Reservations with payment must be received by Feb. 19. Payment may be made through phone or in person. Museum business hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and Noon to 4 p.m. on weekends. For more information, contact the museum at 740-622-8710 or email [email protected].

The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village, a restored canal-era town sited along the former Ohio & Erie Canal, at 300 N. Whitewoman Street, Coshocton. The Ohio Arts Council also helped fund this event with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
