Frank C. “Bud” Spinks Jr.

COSHOCTON – Frank C. “Bud” Spinks Jr., 70, of Coshocton passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born in Coshocton on August 29, 1948 to the late Frank C. Spinks Sr. and Gladys (Taylor) Spinks.

He was a graduate of River View High School and served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He previously worked for Pretty Products, Penn Michigan, Clows, and TW Metal. Frank was a member of the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene, Eagles Lodge 761, American Legion 065, Moose Lodge 935, AMVETS 36, VFW 2040, Army-Navy 628, Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard, Color Guard, and Veterans Service Commission. He enjoyed golfing in his spare time.

Frank is survived by his son Chad (Crystal) Spinks of Coshocton; 3 grandchildren Hayden and Tristen Spinks and Reece Slaughter; brother Larry (Alice) Spinks; sisters Linda (Terry) Taylor and Bev (Steve) Thomas; special friend Sue Wilson; special nephew Terry (Angie) Taylor and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Sandy Hindel.

The family would like to thank Community Hospice of Coshocton for their care and kindness at such a difficult time.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm and one hour prior to the funeral service.  Funeral services for Frank will be held Saturday at 10:30am with Pastor Mark Granger officiating.  Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery where the Coshocton County Veterans Council will be performing military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards the New Life Ministries Food Bank; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
