Gloria Carr PictureGloria Ruth Carr, 72, of Coshocton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday October 30, 2013.

Gloria was born to the late Charles H. and Barbara C. (Wagner) Bassett in Tuscarawas County on May 24, 1941.

She attended Newcomerstown High School, class of 1959 and retired from Groovefold Inc. in Newcomerstown in 1999 after 25 years of service.  She was also a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

Gloria lived at Riverside Towers “Highrise” the past several years where she was involved in many social activities. She was a member of the Newcomerstown Assembly of God Church, an avid reader, enjoyed spending time outside, baking and cooking.

Gloria truly loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her great grandson Chaz.

She is survived by her children Johnny (Susan) Carr of Barbarton, Pamela D. Carr and special friend of Coshocton and Melissa D. Booher of Akron; three sisters Diane J. (Jim) Green of Dover, Dixie J. (Glenn) Bricker and Connie L. (Frank) Parks both of Newcomerstown; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday November 1, 2013 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brent Heisman officiating. Interment will follow in Otsego Cemetery, Otsego.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Health Services of Coshocton County “Hospice”, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
