Hugh Patrick Hanley

COSHOCTON – Hugh Patrick Hanley, age 87, of Coshocton, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018. He was born in Mansfield on May 6, 1930 to the late Ambrose and Kathryn Hanley.

He attended Sacred Heart School in Coshocton through the tenth grade and graduated from St. Vincent Prep School in Latrobe, PA. Hugh joined the United States Air Force in 1951 and served until 1955. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and the Newcomerstown Elks.

Hugh received his journeyman’s card as a printer form the Coshocton Tribune and worked in Canton and Tampa, FL. He retired in 1992 from the United States Postal Service in Clearwater, FL.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Faye Hanley; two sons, Michael (Kelly) Hanley of Clearfield, Utah and Scott Hanley of St. Petersburg, FL; one step-daughter, Virginia (Bob) Walker of Canton; five grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Richard Zaugg of Mentor; and many nieces and nephews.

Per Hugh’s wishes, a cremation will take place. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Victor R. Wesolowski officiating.
