Introduction to archery shooting at Hocking Hills Archery Range

ATHENS, OH – Anyone interested in learning the basics of archery shooting is invited to attend a free program on Oct. 3 at the Hocking Hills Archery Range near Logan, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).

The ODNR Division of Wildlife and ODNR Division of Parks and Watercraft are hosting the event on Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 4 – 7 p.m. and will provide all bows, arrows, safety equipment, and targets. The event is open to anyone ages 12 years old and up. This is a beginner course, so no archery experience is needed.

Pre-registration is required by Monday, Oct. 1. Please call Chelsea Gilkey at the Wildlife District 4 office at 740-589-9930 to sign up.

The Hocking Hills Archery Range is located at 20307 State Route 664 S, Logan, Ohio 43138. It is on the north side of the road, directly before the ranger station. Participants will meet at the archery range.
