Luke P. Jacobs

Luke Peter Jacobs, 59, died Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Coshocton Regional Medical Center, as the result of an automobile accident.

He was born July 26, 1961 in Coshocton to the late Harold Jacobs, Sr. and Betty Ann (Kreider) Jacobs. He was a truck driver for many years, and a terrific mechanic who could fix anything. He loved his doughnuts, and his love of family was tremendous. Each and every one brought him great joy. He was a man of great Faith…a devout Christian who loved the Lord deeply and prayed constantly for family & friends. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Bible Chapel.

He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Peggy A. (Ostler) Jacobs, whom he married Oct. 6, 2007; his children, Angie (Doug) O’Dell of Mt. Vernon, and Darren (Ashley) Jacobs of Coshocton; step-children, Anastasia West of Warsaw, Danielle (Daniel) West of Coshocton, Morgan (Marcus) Ross of Warsaw, and Jarod (Kayla) Kaufman of Coshocton; fifteen grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Jacobs, Jr. of Warsaw, and Mark C. Jacobs of Coshocton; a sister, Marjorie (Jerry) Mickey of Canal Winchester; brothers-in-law, Frank Crossley of West Lafayette, and Mark (Janine) Ostler of California; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Penny Crossley; and his first wife and mother of his children, Kathy (Parks) Jacobs whom he married Aug. 2, 1980. She died June 3, 2006.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Joel Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 22nd at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
