Nancy Carol Mercer

Nancy Carol Mercer, 81, of Coshocton passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021. She was born in Coshocton, to the late Clyde and Betty (Walker) Buckmaster.

She married Francis “Mickey” Hogan, who preceded her in death in August 1966. Nancy enjoyed playing bingo, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her three children, Danny (Pam) Hogan of Dover, Karen Jones of Coshocton and Mark (Mandy) Hogan of Zanesville; 11 grandchildren, Jason Hogan, Megan (Mike) Beachy, Hope (Teddy) Archer, Sheila (Lance) Bordenkircher, Katrena Armstrong, Mickey (Molly) Sears, Amanda Sears (Justin Renicker), Mark Hogan, Jr, Alicia (Justin) Holmes, Daniel Hogan (Krista Gray), and Lorilie Mackinzie Hogan; numerous great-grandchildren;  two siblings, Pat (Lynn) Powelson of Conesville, and Jim Buckmaster of Coshocton. She is also survived by her two special friends Sharon and Dee, and her former husband Richard “Bud” Mercer.

Along with her parents and husband, Nancy is preceded in death by her daughter Teresa Sears; brothers Bob, Butch, and Bud Buckmaster, and her sister Mary Jane Darr.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A burial will follow at a later date at West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown.

Due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, social distancing measures will be in place and there will be a limited number of people inside the funeral home at a time. We also ask that you please wear a face mask at all times for the health and safety of our guest and employees.
