Phoebe B. Kanuckel

Phoebe Burrell Kanuckel, 90, of Warsaw, died Friday, May 28, 2021 at her residence.

She was born Dec. 25, 1930 in Coshocton to the late Raymond Otto and Virginia Lydia (Ulman) Burrell.

Phoebe was a 1948 graduate of Warsaw High School and a member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church where she served as the financial secretary for many years.  She was a member of the former Warsaw Jr. Sorosis Club and many card clubs.  She was also a former Hospice Board member. She spent countless hours at sporting events supporting the entire family.   She truly never knew a stranger and was always faithful about sending cards to family and friends for special occasions or just to say thank you.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Mike) Snyder of Warsaw and Kyle (Kelly) Kanuckel of Portage.  Her grandchildren, Josh (Kristin Jamison) Bowman of Warsaw, Hannah (Lee) Creager of Hamler, & Karlee (Greg) Badenhop of Liberty Center.  Great grandchildren, Hailee & Briggs Bowman, Lincoln, Reid, T.J., & Cam Creager, & Isaiah, Jack, Izze, & Dawkins Badenhop.  A sister-in-law, Patti Fischer-Lewis of Warsaw, and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Kanuckel, whom she married Dec. 22, 1951, he died Nov. 20, 1989.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Sass, sisters-in-law, Doris (Smiley) Randles & Janet (Louis) Harper, and a brother-in-law, Bill (Vera) Kanuckel.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Wes George officiating.  Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery at Warsaw.  Visitation is Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
