Remembering our veterans

COSHOCTON – Rick Cullison places a flag on a veteran’s grave at South Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, May 18. This is the first year he has helped place flags here, but he has been in the Honor Guard for four years. He said, “It’s just something little I can do to honor veterans and show my appreciation.” According to Patty Dilly, of the veteran’s office in Coshocton about a dozen volunteers would be placing 1,800 flags at South Lawn. Dilly said, “We put flags on every veteran’s grave, from the Revolutionary War to present day. About 6,600 flags will be placed throughout the county before Memorial Day.”
