Robert R. Ashcraft

Robert R. Ashcraft, 80, passed away on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at Signature Health Care.

Bob was born in Coshocton on Feb. 1, 1941. He was the son of Raymond L. and Doris Erma (Vansickel) Ashcraft who preceded him in death along with a brother, Gary. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1959, where he was the first State FFA award winner. He married Linda Thomson on Nov. 26, 1960.

Bob was a great story teller, a loving husband and father, and the best grandpa. He was a former 4-H advisor and little league coach, and worked at Cyclops for 37 years. He was a huge Buckeyes, Browns, and Indians fan, and loved golfing and his horses, and was always happiest on the farm.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Lori (James) McCoy of Corpus Christi, TX, Jodi Patterson of Newark, and Kari (Steve) Cotsmire of New Philadelphia; son, Rob (Angie) Ashcraft of Coshocton, 11 grandchildren, Seth (Jasmine) Ridenbaugh, Jacob (Stephanie) Conrad, Ethan Ridenbaugh, Hannah (Garrett) Wiley, Brien (Lauren) Conrad, Ashton Ridenbaugh, Nick Conrad, Michael Ashcraft, Lukas McCoy, Ivy McCoy, and Lindsey Ashcraft; six great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Ashcraft; brothers, Dan Ashcraft, and Steve (Linda E.) Ashcraft; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5-7 Thursday evening, Dec. 23.
