Ruth Alliene ‘Rudy’ Butchko

Ruth Alliene “Rudy” Butchko, 90, of Fresno and formerly of Amherst went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Signature Healthcare of Coshocton.

Born March 12, 1924 in Washington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hans and Ethel Minnie (Allen) Rayzor.

Alliene had been a model in New York City and a photographer having been the owner and operator of  Portraits by Alliene portrait studio in Cleveland and Amherst.

Alliene married the love of her life Martin M. Butchko who departed for heaven on April 12, 2013.

Alliene was a member of the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church of Lorain and will long be remembered for playing the guitar and singing in a group of family singers known as the Amherst Gospel Sounds that traveled and shared gospel music with churches in Ohio, Pennsylvania and The City Mission in Cleveland.  The group also sang for death row inmates.

Surviving are a daughter Patricia (Edward) Daniels and granddaughter Alliene Patricia Daniels of Fresno; a brother Roy M. (Anna) Rayzor; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Alliene was preceded in death by a daughter Carol A. Rose and brother William James Rayzor.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 30, 2014, at the Free Funeral Home in Coshocton with Rev. Dairel L. Kaiser and Pastor Steve Young officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Fresno.

Calling hours will be held Saturday from 11 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service at the Free Funeral Home.

Memoriums may be made to the Keene United Methodist Church, 27100 C.R. 1, Coshocton, Ohio 43812. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
