WARSAW – The River View Ohio Model United Nations delegation traveled to Columbus to participate in the state OMUN conference Dec. 6-8.

Their resolution entitled “H.U.G.: Helping Underprivileged Guatemalans” passed in their council session. Sophomore Hannah Poorman and freshman Shelby Byland received special recognition for their leadership in the delegation. Colt Stottlemire placed among the top three delegates in the conference for his Global Agendas essay. His essay detailed his plan for what the United Nations could do to help combat global terrorism. Seniors Jade Poorman and Bella Pendola served as OMUN state officers. In this student-led organization, the officers are in charge of running the different sessions and activities that the delegates attend.

The RVHS OMUN advisor is Amanda Meiser.
