Safety Saturday coming soon

| May 10, 2013

FireTruckSaftySat2012COSHOCTON – This summer, Farmers Insurance will kick off our break with Safety Saturday and the Hot Air Balloon Festival.  It will be at Coshocton County Fairgrounds on June 8 from 1 – 4 p.m. and is sponsored by our local Farmers Agent, Donna Fischer.  Fire trucks, police cruisers, EMT, and MedFlight will all be there to show the kids in our community what they do for us and how to be safer by following the rules and having a plan.

In addition to the activities at each station, Farmers has sent ID kits for the children in our area.  This is the perfect time to update identification info. We at the Farmers Insurance Agency are suggesting that if possible, the ID info be stored on cell phones and mobile devices making it very accessible in an emergency situation at amusement parks, vacations to the beach, and trips to the zoos.  Brandi Hess, owner of BHess Photography, will be there to take up to date photos, which will be emailed to parents.  Advanced Spinal Care and Rehabilitation will also be getting current height and weight info for the ID cards and digital ID information.

We are trying to make this an attendance record for our event and are putting a couple little contests together leading up to Safety Saturday on June 8. The first 100 kids to get us their parent’s name, phone number, email and their name and grade will get a free hot dog at Safety Saturday and everyone that gets their information to us before June 1 will be entered into a drawing for a carnival ride day pass. Seven lucky kids will win!

There will be a drawing for a bike and skateboard for coming out to see us at this year’s Safety Saturday at the 2013 Hot Air Balloon Festival.
